Temples In Tamilnadu

I did only 2 things back at home, eat and shop, that’s what I did most of the time. I got 2 nice salwar set for my birthday at Naiha (things in India are becoming very expensive now a days). I was hogging so much of fast food, that I feel sick the second day (what else one can expect if a small person like me eats one whole pizza, ice cream, north Indian meal, vada, coke, badam milk all in one day he he he). I got food poisoning, it was really bad, and on top of it my wisdom tooth started paining. So I had to remove it. I was put on a blond diet for a week (never mind, home is always sweet).

This time I had a very quite birthday, just went to temple, and then for a nice dinner with my family. It’s been 3 years since I finished college, still all my friends wished me on my birthday, it felt really good. I always feel that I am gifted when it comes to family and friends.

Since I feel sick, my holidays trips were cancelled. But I went to many temples in trichy, srirangam, samayapuram, and veeraganoor. I love going to temples.

This is the picture of my favorite elephant, each time I go I take picture of him (or her, I don’t know :)). I love elephants (now u know why I like temples).

This is the picture of my family god aayanaar in veeraganoor, it’s a small village. My dad used to say that he is very powerful god. We always make sure that we visit the temple at least once in 2 months. In the picture u can see many horses, people who come here will offer this mud horse to god as their token of thanks. I still remember, when I was ten years old there was only 4 or 5 horses, now its countless, all the four sides of temple is covered with horses.

This is the picture of 1008 lingam near vinayaga mission in salem district. Its still under construction on a small hill. This place is build so beautiful, actually its not build, its crafted. I had low battery on my cam that s y couldn’t take much pictures, here u can see few lingam at the topmost point of the small hill. I was there during sun set. It was so pretty, all I could say was a big WOW!!!!!!!! (the next picture)

This is how I spent my small vacation of 25 days in India, time to pack my bags to go back to Singapore. I didn’t have the heart to leave India, but work calls, I have to.

Holidays in India

1,2 buckle my shoes…
3,4 pack up my things…
5,6 flying home…

It was one of the happiest day in my life (Actually all days are like thatJ ), am going home after seven months. This is the longest period of time in my life, that am away from my family. It’s time to say hello to my country. Indiaaaaaaaaaa, here I come. I was supposed to book my tickets with Jet airways, due to some unmentionable reasons, I couldn’t. So finally I booked my tickets with Air India Express. The flight was just like an airbus, so small and it was a bit smelly (believe me it was), and what’s with the airhostess, they are not at all friendly. My flight from Singapore goes to Trichy then to Chennai most of the passengers were from villages near trichy, they didn’t understand English or Hindi and the airhostess were so mean to them (except for one lady, I don’t remember her name, she was really sweet). There was one very very arrogant lady, she was always on high pitch (she reminds me of my annoying mess supervisor of PSG college). And the food part, which always make me forget other issues in the flight, this time food pack consist of jeera rice, potato gravy, cake, tea and apple juice (yeak I had apple juice). It tasted ‘ok’. I took some cool pictures of clear clouds.

One more thing I forgot to mention, its about the security check. Oh my god, they took nearly 4 hrs to check all the baggage’s, this is the first time they even checked the laptops with a strange machine. They took a piece of paper and dipped it in a liquid and rubbed it all over the laptop. Security was so at its high in trichy and Chennai. Its all because of the terror attack in Mumbai.
Finally I landed in India, it felt so good, no words to explain, I missed Chennai traffic, smoke, pollution, street dogs, roadside fast food, cinema halls, and off course my family and friends.

Little About Myself and My Blog

Hi hello everyone, this is Sivani. I am from a small town in Tamilnadu, India. I did my under graduation at PSG Tech,Coimbatore. Now I am in Singapore to do my Post graduation in design. It’s been nearly 10 months after I ve come to Singapore. First few months I was quite lonely, but I enjoyed it. Now my life is rocking good. Do u wonder how it happened… it’s very simple, actually nothing has changed every since I came here. I adapted to this environment. As I started doing it, life turns out to be pretty good. I actually didn’t do any sacrifices, didn’t lie, and the best is I didn’t try to act like a cool chick which I am not.

I am a very simple average looking girl, who doesn’t have any interest for clubbing, high heels, and the reveling clothes, instead, I love to go for a mid night walk, watch the sky with all its twinkling stars, hear nice romantic songs with full volume, and get drenched when it rains. All my life I loved my parents, my brother and my dance.

I learned one thing in life, never expect anyone or anything to be the way u want it to be. Just live each and every moment, everyone’s life is gifted by GOD, its just that many people don’t bother to open their gifts.

Let me tell about this blog of mine. I am trying to update all the good adventurous days am enjoying in Singapore. I am not a great writer; Oops I made a mistake…. I am not a writer by any means, so there is gonna be some mistakes, actually a lot, pls bare with it. Wish me luck fellows… and I would greatly appreciate ur comments and would love to hear ur adventures also. So lets make this blog our place to paint the wall of life with all our good memories.

Cheers….
Sivani
